“My name is MUTUYIMANA DJAMILA. Let me share my story with you. I am 20 years old, I have a handsome boy of 3 years. I am the first born in my family. When I was a baby of 2 weeks I was in a fire and I lost my arm.

After losing my arm, my dad went away, and I was left with my mum, who was very stressed because of staying alone. After some time my mum was with another man, but life with him was complicated. I did not have the love of my parents. My mother had other 3 kids in the hardest situation. My father had another wife with other kids, but today is arrested in Rwamagana prison and he is condemned all his life.

I helped my mother to take care of my siblings so I was not able to even finish primary school.

I found a young man, I thought he would be a good one and give me the love that I didn’t ever meet, but with him it was even more bad than before!!! I was pregnant with his baby but he went away, and I was struggling alone with my boy and my mum’s husband put me out of his house!

With SAFI LIFE now I am happy because I have dream of becoming a strongest women and a good example even if I have a disability but I am able!”
